What I Offer:

1. Monitoring Progress

Regular assessments identify each student’s unique needs, shaping customized lessons that build on prior knowledge and drive academic growth.

2. Reading Instruction

One-on-one support helps students transition from learning to read to reading to learn. Activities include book walks, exploring story structure, character development, and comprehension strategies like summarizing and making inferences.

3. Phonics Instruction

Interactive activities lay the foundation for young readers to master letter sounds, create basic words, and build confidence. Leveled reading texts reinforce new skills and foster a sense of ownership in their reading journey.

4. Writing Instruction

Step-by-step guidance equips students with strategies for all writing tasks, from class assignments to creative projects. High school students also receive expert support crafting compelling, authentic college essays that stand out.

5. Alternative Learning:

The landscape of education, teaching, and learning has shifted for parents, teachers, and students. Alternative learning settings have been created, thus expanding student learning options.  While incorporating required curriculum guidelines, customized long-term instruction and personalized learning needs can be met to propel students forward in their education in any location.
